The Role: Translator

The Location: Taipei

 

The Team:

Media & Digital Content (MDC) is mainly responsible for providing our clients and media with bilingual rating information/database service. Being a joint venture since its inception, TRC has many of its own operational processes before it was fully integrated with SPGI around 2006. Until today, TRC still maintains a few of its own system, such as B2E, which makes it a rather unique subsidiary of SPGR under the bigger SPG umbrella.

One thing MDC truly values is maintaining the thought leadership role with regard to credit rating in the local market. We do that by providing the market with timely media releases on rating actions, as well as by releasing rating-related commentaries with market-education purposes.

 

The Impact:

The translator serves as a bridge between our English rating report and our rating client. He/she is facilitating local investors in conducting their credit researches on the domestic rating market before making any well-informed investment decisions.

Responsibilities:

1. Translate routine ratings report and internal documents
2. Coordinate with editors and the analytical side for rating report publication.
3. Dissemination of rating data to media and third-party data service provider, maintain website data accuracy and quality.
4. Support seminars and outreach events of all types.
5. Ensure data accuracy via cross-departmental coordination.
6. Send out daily news highlights internally and TRC Newsletters externally.
7. Provide logistics support to company-wide functions.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

1. College degree.
2. TOEIC score above 930 (please provide certificate)
3. Office related software skills a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Degree in translation & Interpretation.
2. Business related major.
3. Experiences in translating financial-related documents.
