today withdrew its 'twBB-' long-term and 'twB' short-term corporate
credit ratings and its 'twBB-' unsecured convertible corporate bond
issue rating on Universal Vision Biotechnology Co. Ltd. (Universal Vision)
at the company's request. Universal Vision's three-year NT$100 million
unsecured convertible corporate bond was issued on March 18, 2004, but
the company bought it back on July 30, 2004. Universal Vision had no
outstanding bonds as at Sept. 30, 2004.
